The Salton Sink, located in southern California, USA just north of the US / Mexican border, is the name of the region that the Salton Sea occupies along with some parts of the Coachella Valley and Imperial Valley.
The sink and the regions within and around it have been know by many names over the years and include many modern municipalities as well as Native American locations;
